Walking Around The Corner

Walking with your head held high,

Shoulders back, and looking half-assertive.

Everyone watches, as you pass on by,

But inside you are shattering into a pieces.

Keeping your eyes focused in front of you,

The subtle-sweat streams down your face.

Breathing heavily, panic rages the taboo-

In question: Is this normal?

Swinging around the corner,

You wonder; Did the indicating car, imagine

Me walking out- into its road?

Did the driver even notice, as the engine-

Drove down the road, I kept to the path of?

Relieved, I realize, I will never know;

Them or how they saw the situation.

Adrenaline will continue to show

Through my body, as I speed-up, in anticipation.
